The Mountain Fork River flows through Smithville, about 13 miles from the cabins. It provides excellent in-season fishing for bass, catfish, and walleye. Broken Bow Lake, is 40 miles away and is a favorite for fishing and water sports. Trout fishing is available below the dam. Typical licensing rules apply.

The Narrows
Local fishermen like the Narrows, or Nars. This is accessible from the long concrete bridge that leaves Highway 259 to cross the Mountain Fork River, just north of Boktuklo Creek, south of Smithville, OK. You can park across the bridge and fish from the bridge or rocks.  Beautiful.

The Slab
If you just want to get a hook wet with kids, we can point you to a concrete roadway that crosses Eagle Creek, just off of Highway 259, about two miles north of Highway 144, and only about 7 miles from your cabin.
