“This is EXACTLY what my family needed after weeks of stressful city life. We rented both cabins, one for our family of 5 and the other for the in-laws. It was great to have a little separation but still be a 2min walk down the hill from them.
The selling point was NO TV AND NO WIFI! With 3 kids, it was nice to not have any media distractions to allow them to play/sleep/read/explore outside. Cell service worked and I was able to use my hotspot (I had to do about 2 hours of pre-planned work). I woke up every morning to drink my coffee on the edge of the hill as the sun rose and every night was spent in front of the fire drinking Irish coffee and making S’mores with the kids! Both cabins have a fully stocked kitchen, linens, towels, pop-up chairs, firewood, a grill, etc. All we had to bring was food and clothing.
Ed and Tricia thought of EVERYTHING and packing up to leave was extremely difficult. The oven went out while we were there and the next morning they had a new one installed even though we told them not to worry about it! The Sunrise cabin was gorgeous and a dream to stay in. Gave us plenty ideas for our future cabin in the woods.

“The cabins are located just off of the highway on a well-maintained dirt road. Upon arrival, you will notice your cabin essentially has its own private scenic outlook similar to the Tahlimena Scenic HWY. Surrounded by trees with a great view make this a unique stay. Outside you will also find a large deck and an outdoor picnic area with a fire pit, charcoal grill, and hammock.
Inside the sunrise cabin, you will find a very clean and well-maintained two-bedroom living area. The rooms are spacious and don’t feel cramped at all. The living room has two large couches with recliners nestled around a fireplace with wood the owners provide. The first floor has a well-stocked kitchen, just bring food, a full bathroom, and a queen bed. Upstairs is a second bedroom and bathroom with a king bed. Again, each of the bedrooms has lots of extra room.
The owners have put a great deal of care into providing extra comfy beds and nice sheets and blankets as well as soft towels. Many rentals usually pass on second-hand items. Not here. You feel like a guest at a nice hotel.
I highly recommend this cabin and by the way, be prepared for the sunrise here. It’s not the sunrise cabin for nothing.”
